There was no need for Laurent to finish the statement for Damen to understand his meaning. But Laurent's expression and turned sharper, expression focused as their fingers tangled. The words didn't feel like an admission, but merely a state of fact and Damen's smile faded slightly as he realized what it was Laurent was truly asking.
