Laurent's gaze upon him was a weight in itself. Damen maintained eye contact, unwilling to falter, his brow arching as Laurent bent to adjust the pulls behind Damen's back.

Though the shift was noticeable on the next pull, the combined weight was still light enough as to hardly give Damen pause and his lips twitched into a near grin.
